Atlanta: Vinyl Double Hung Windows to Wood Casements

Most homeowners in Atlanta these days are looking to replace old single paned, rotted, clear glass windows with vinyl windows. And vinyl is a good choice. It's a cost effective, energy efficient choice and the best part is, vinyl windows don't rot and look great.

However, oftentimes we run into the customer who has and wants to retain a more traditional look. Enter the wood replacement window.

Unlike many other window and door companies in Atlanta, we actually sell and install wood windows almost as often as vinyl windows. Just last week I helped a lady get a pair of wood casement windows installed in her home. She's living in a beautiful old home in Atlanta that she's remodeling for her and her family's move down from North Carolina. We also sell a great number of wood sash replacements for customers who don't necessarily need a full window unit but need low-e , double paned, insulated glass in their home.

So remember there are a variety of solutions to the challenges you face while improving your home. Our sales staff at Atlanta Area Window and Door we does not enter into a home with any agenda other than to make sure each homeowner gets exactly what they want and need installed in their home.

One of Our Stories from Decatur

A true story of one of our customer's experience working with us last summer. We got work with Jenn last year and were had the opportunity to install windows, doors, and gutter protection. Here's what she had to say about working with us.

"I have had the good fortune of doing business with Atlanta Area Windows and Door Co. on two occassions and both times they have exceeded my expectations. First, we replaced all of the windows and one door in our house and were expecting to have the process be somewhat disruptive to our home in some way even with a really good company. I am glad to say we were proved wrong on all accounts. From the initial sales consultation with Jim it was just simple, we were not overwhelmed with options that did not interest us. He listened to what we wanted and gave us a no hassle quote. We scheduled the installation and the installers showed up and had the old windows and door out and the new ones in with no mess or inconvenience on our part. They were clean and courteous and we love our new windows!

Last fall we decided to get gutter guards installed and when I found out that AAWD had started offering these products they were first to call on my list. Some of my gutters were leaking and I was sure they would tell me I needed new gutters before they could help me. Instead they came in cleaned them out, sealed them up and put the guards on in less than one day. No leaks and NO LEAVES.

I completely trust their organization and their work. Professionals from start to finish."

Photos from our window job in Chimney Springs, Marietta, GA

Here's a few snapshots of our window installation we did in the Chimney Springs neighborhood in Marietta, Ga. We put in Vista vinyl windows and capped the brickmold on each set of double hung windows. Of course they look great!

Take note of the close ups of the aluminum capped brickmold to give you a good idea of what capped brickmold looks like. It protects the trim around the window and gives it a clean finished look.

Happy hunting for double hung windows this summer. Don't hesitate to give us a call for window installations or free quotes!
